Choosing the correct Zebra ZD421 printhead
The Zebra ZD421 has different drive systems for different resolutions. When replacing your Zebra ZD421 printhead it is important you replace it with the same DPI as previously installed. The most effective way of finding out what the current DPI is by printing the configuration or viewing it from the printer webpage.
You can use the part number sticker on the bottom to identify the correct replacement you need, see the picture to learn about this. However if your printer has had a DPI upgrade throughout it’s lifecycle this may be incorrect.
